Women have taken to working from home in a big way. Earlier it was an option that only house wives went for so that they could take care of kids and the house. But things have changed a lot with the evolution of Internet. Today many women and not home makers alone, make their livelihood working from home. A good number of them quit their daily jobs to work from home.

This way they don't have to spend a lot of time commuting and can also spend time at home with the kids. Many organizations and businesses have taken to this mode of employment. Some of them want their employees to work from home only as this would save office space and reduce attrition.

Working from home includes work from many fields. Internet marketing attracts many women as it pays a lot and almost always requires no investment. And with the advent of social networking, it is a lot easier to find people and talk to them about a product. One does not have to scorch the sun and burn the tarmac to get clients. Opportunity to project a product is only a click away.

Another option is writing. There is enormous scope for good writers. Many women contribute handsomely for many websites, portals and are paid well. One can choose a genre of interest and get started. The best part of the job is the joy of seeing a byline with your name and knowing that people read your thoughts.

Most women write on blogs. Blogging pays a skilled writer well and is the only job that has the reputation of being fun.

Work from home options that are not heavily computer based include taking calls for a call centre (virtual call assistant), event planning and works which require skills like painting or knitting. There is no dearth of options for women and with the digital age upon us, the sky is just a touch away.
