What to know about LG LCD televisions comes down to understanding that this high-quality manufacturer of equally high quality consumer electronics -- including televisions -- has been working hard to deliver a wide range of televisions to the domestic market and has also been working to get the word out about the quality it has built-in to just about every piece of consumer electronics it makes.

One of the first things to realize about the LCD, or liquid crystal display, television is that it is a full order of magnitude better than the older style television it replaced, which was known as the CRT or cathode ray tube television. Historically, the basic technology underlying the CRT TV has been around for over 70 years. This should tell you all you need to know about CRT TVs.

Not so with the modern day LCD television. Nowadays, one of these televisions is far lighter, less bulky and much better at putting out a quality high definition picture that an old-style television cannot come close to matching. Compare a 32 inch CRT television to a similar 32 inch LCD television and the superiority of the LCD TV will be readily apparent.

One thing that becomes apparent whenever a CRT TV is matched up against an LCD television like the ones offered from LG is that the picture put up by the cathode ray tube TV cannot begin to approach the quality of true high definition that every LG LCD TV displays as a regular part of its mission. Additionally, because LG is an industry leader, the quality of its TVs will be even better than others.

One reason this has become case is because LG took the LCD television and begin to work on it to improve it to the point where it is generally superior over standard LCD TVs of similar size. The company's product offerings are considered to be outstanding in every way, and some of this is no doubt due to the extremely close attention LG pays to quality control and customer service.

This hard work has begun to pay off in increased sales and market share in this country lately. An LG television is now looked on as one of those TVs that everybody dreams of eventually owning, which is mainly due, again, to the fact that LG looks at liquid crystal display televisions as not the ultimate in technology but, rather, a good starting point for improving the technology.

As far as finding retailers that sell LG LCD televisions, it is only necessary to go to the Internet and do a quick search. Also, the company's website has a retailer locator. The one thing that is absolutely for sure is that the company has made a big push into the domestic television market with its lineup of LCD TVs. Keep in mind that LG is a high-line TV maker, so its TVs probably won't be cheap.
