Learning how to add music to your website easily takes only a few minutes and a realization that you have now come to the point where you want to make your website a bit more interesting for your viewers. It will be necessary to go through a couple of steps and consider a few options before adding music, though it isn't very hard.
Before even considering adding music, the first thing that you should do is to consider what adding all of that information to your website may do to your visitors in terms of download speed of your website by them. If these music files are too large for intrusive, they could take a bit longer to download, which could lead an inpatient user to just give up and leave.
After deciding to add music, the next thing to do is take a look at what sound format will be most convenient, not only for you but also your website visitors. Even though many people today probably have high-speed Internet available to them, there are still a large number who are surfing the Internet with a 56k modem. For those you might want to consider using a plain MIDI or.mid file.
However, if you're more interested in presenting a high-quality listening experience in a file for your users you're going to want to put your music on the website using an MP3 or.mp3 file. Such a file is higher quality than a MIDI and while it does take a bit longer to download using a 56k modem, most listeners would probably appreciate the quality evident in the file.
Usually, there are two ways to add music to your site. If you are using a quality web host you can either upload your music via a file transfer protocol or FTP client, which is one common way. If you don't want music that starts up as soon as people land at your site, you can instead just create a hyperlink and embed your music in that manner. There is only a very basic line of HTML code to know.
To do so, just add the following line of code anywhere in the body of your website through the dashboard or behind-the-scenes control panel that your web host has provided music.mid. With this line of code you can not only create a link but also the music file (which is what will go between the quotation marks) that your users can click on easily and quickly.
